NASHVILLE PUSSY TO PLAY BULLDOG

Just confirmed for this year's Bulldog Bash are Atlanta's Nashville Pussy, a sleazy hard rocking Southern band - imagine a cross between Motorhead and the Reverend Horton Heat (both of whom the band has played with) sharing breakfast with The Supersuckers and Rob Zombie and you're kind of heading in the right direction. And they're one helluva band live.

WIN A HOBGOBLIN ENFIELD!

Ian Ward, brand manager at Wychwood, said: "The Hobgoblin Bullet is a great ‘one off' with a unique blue paint job and legendary graphics of the Hobgoblin. There was no way we could put a price on it. So we've chosen to give it away to one lucky beer and bikes fan."

AS MAD AS A BOX OF FROGMEN....

While we're on the subject of dishing up little snippets of film, enjoy this short documentary about Tim 'Frogman' Cotterill and his utterly mad trike. Some of the more elderly among you may recognise Tim from a BSH centrespread of, oh (guessing...) 1990 or 1991 when he had what now seems like a comparatively tame CBX1000 trike.

SHINYA KIMURA

A while back, we published a feature on Shinya Kimura, formerly of Zero Engineering and now running Chabott Engineering in California. In a new short video, you can hear the man in his own words...

BOBBER JOB

A cracking little bit of film of Kenny's equally cracking (and just finished) Yamaha Virago bobber. Enjoy.

BSH 316 GOES TO PRESS

Another issue put to bed and tucked up under silken blankets. BSH 316 is pretty damn fine, if we say so ourselves. Taking pride of place on the cover is Krazy Horse's new Swedish chopper, one of the neatest and prettiest of the genre that you'll ever see, while inside the 132 pages is a fabulous array of machines, including a barking mad turbo'd Harley that's destined for the Bonneville salt flats, a gorgeous little Triumph 3TA, a manic Jawa and the European Champion of Custom Bike Building, 'Kosmo Drive'. There's also 27 pages - yes, 27! - of events coverage - You've Been Nabbed, Shires Show, Creature's Any Spare Change rally, Musos On Bikes, Grand National Roadster Show, Hemsby Rock 'n' Roll Weekender, Iron Horsemen MC's show and the East Coast Pirate's show. And, of course, Tech, Trike Trickery and Ogri. Phew...

CHUCK ZITO SUES OVER SONS OF ANARCHY

According to showbiz insiders, TMZ, Chuck Zito has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the FX channel, claiming that he created the concept for hit drama series, 'Sons of Anarchy'.

Actor and former Hells Angel, Zito alleges that he pitched a show about an 'outlaw motorcycle club' to the network in 2004 and had an 'implied-in-fact' contract with FX that, if his ideas were used, that he would be 'reasonably compensated and afford appropriate screen credits.'

He allegedly claims that although FX decided not to develop the series, Sons of Anarchy is 'substantially similar' and is thought to be suing for more than 5 million dollars for breach of the 'implied-in-fact' contract. It's unclear as to why Zito has taken over two years since the airing of the first series (and with the third series in production) to file suit against FX.

FX declined to comment.

BANDIDOS TRUCE AT AN END?

The leader of the Bandidos MC, Jim Tinndahn, has personally torn to pieces a 12-year-old truce made with the Hells Angels after the latter allegedly recruited Banditos members in Aalborg, reports Politiken newspaper.

According to Tinndahn, the Hells Angels recruited six former Banditos members from the gang’s two Aalborg chapters – an action which he said was in clear violation of the spirit of the agreement.

Tinndahn, who is head of the Bandidos for Europe and Asia, said the only way to patch up the problem was for the six new Hells Angels recruits to leave Denmark. Sweden would probably not be an option for them, however, as that is Tinndahn’s home country. But the Swede said he hoped the ‘reasonable’ leaders from the gangs would be able to resolve the conflict.

It makes me angry and it makes all Bandidos angry,’ Tinndahl told Politiken. ‘But we still have some back doors open where the groups can talk to each other.

Tinndahl said he doubted ripping up the truce would lead to renewed violence between the two gangs. He added, however, that he could not control every single Banditos member – mentioning in particular the younger ones.

I can say to them that we don’t want any trouble, and we can also say to them that if they go into the city they have to have higher-ranking members with them. But that’s a bit more difficult,’ he said.

Kim Kliver, the head of the National Police’s investigation centre, said the police would be keeping an eye on the situation.

‘We’ve seen the number of shootings fall drastically [in the wake of the truce] in the past several years,’ he told Politiken. ‘There’s obviously numerous conflict scenarios between the motorcycle gangs and immigrant gangs, but there’s also conflicts between the motorcycle gangs themselves, and we’re following those closely.

NEW MOTORIZED OUT

It's almost worth getting out of bed on a Monday morning when a new copy of Motorized arrived. This is the third issue of the Belgian petrolhead magazine - its strapline 'Fuel Injected Eyekandy For A Greased Up Mind' - and it's as fine as the two that preceded it. Exquisite quality, lovely paper, perfect bound, ads that blend seamlessly with the editorial pages... In short, great photos, splendid bikes and cars and pretty ladies in stockings. Well worth the however much it is. (I've got no idea, Motorized's chief chap, El Cheapo, sends it to me. You'll have to go to Motorized and ask.

Mr Fenwick crossed the line first in the Pre-TT Classic on the Billown circuit, aboard his 250cc Ducati, race prepared by his mechanic, Geoff Shaw. He says; “My wife Margaret is also very supportive, although she would still be pleased if I stopped racing. But while I wouldn’t say I’ve got better with age, I’ve definitely become more careful.

Ted Fenwick is 82 years old.
